The Team
Aptus is a niche consultancy focused solely on digital technology and social media. We combine a core management team, which has in depth knowledge of the applicable technologies and their practical use, with an extensive network of associates, all of whom provide relevant, targeted expertise.
Bob Bevan
Despite his boyish looks, Bob has over 25 years experience in financial services sales and marketing, with an extensive knowledge of key distribution technologies and of the support processes needed to turn prospects in to customers.
Before becoming a consultant in 1998, Bob had a number of 'proper' jobs, operating at directorial level for financial services companies within the UK and across Europe.
As the founder of Aptus, he works with clients to help them anticipate the impact of emergent distribution technologies and to plan how they can be blended is to the organisation's distribution mix at minimal risk.

Associates
Traditional consultancy is over priced yet often under delivers because:
- Consultancies employ large numbers of people who have to be paid whether they are working on assignment or not and whose costs (salary, office etc) are ultimately paid by the customer.
- There is financial pressure on consultancies to use these employed resources on projects whether or not they have the appropriate skills to do the job.
- This same pressure often results in the number of consultants deployed being larger than necessary, leading to loss of project ownership and control by the client organisation, and the creation of long term dependency.
At Aptus we take a very different approach to this traditional model:
- We use a network of associates who each have in-depth individual knowledge of the different aspects of digital technology and social media. This means that we always deploy individuals who have the right expertise to do the job.
- The associate model means we have low operational costs which in turn means we keep our rates down.
- Our core belief is that organisations do not need armies of consultants. Consultancy is most effective when you deploy highly knowledgeable people in ones or twos to work with an organisation's management team.
